Important Information Regarding iOS7 and iViewer 4

Posted By Aaron Green - 17 Sep, 2013

This is important information for users of iViewer 4 on Apple devices.

Edit: The iViewer update is now available and you should be able to upgrade to iOS7 without issues. On September 18th 2013 (USA Time) Apple is releasing iOS7. We have submitted an iOS7 compatible version of iViewer4 (Version 4.0.280) to the Apple App Store, and are waiting for it to be approved.

We recommend NOT upgrading to iOS7 until version iViewer 4.0.280 becomes available on the App Store. Previous versions of iViewer 4 will NOT work with iOS7 for licensed GUI's. This includes all devices that currently have a licensed GUI.

Apple has made some core changes that affect how our licensing system works, which the upcoming version of iViewer 4 addresses.

In order to ensure a problem free iOS7 upgrade, please wait for the updated iViewer 4 to be released then update that BEFORE upgrading to iOS7.

iViewer Lite, and projects not requiring a license are not affected by iOS7.

Please note that it is possible that the new version of iViewer 4 will be release before iOS7 - so be sure to keep an eye on the App Store for updates.

iViewer Lite, and projects not requiring a license are not affected by iOS7.
